Fresh from today, 46 year old 110 402 hauling the rush hour booster train from Cologne to Wesel.

Basically a repetition of this shot, but with more sunlight. I would've wanted even more of that, but the sun came out juuust after this train had passed... Annoying! More shots can be found on DSO, as always.

In other news, university has started again last week, though that shouldn't stop me from railfanning. I only have to attend two lectures, with each of those just requiring me to be there, no exams, homework or any of that stuff. Those will also be the last lectures I'll ever attend, since I'm probably going to complete my master thesis (aka diploma) this year. Officially registered it today, with the working title being "Magnetic examination of nanoparticles by means of synchrotron radiation". If all goes to plan, I'll be able to take my own measurements at BESSY, assuming that our workgroup manages to acquire some testing time there.
