Description Koda glared up at the huge dove who had pushed him back roughly from the fence. Crossing over and cutting through the ranch was far quicker and safer than the mountain trail, and typically the housed kukuris had turned a blind eye to the rook when he has took the short cut before but this dove didn't seem to know about that particular unspoked deal. His feet wobbled on the grass as he kept his balancing, wincing as his daughter dug her claws into his back, having been shaken awake.

"What are you doing?!" He demanded, thrusting his horn into the dove's face as a warning. The crimson priarie snorted and lowered her head, tossing her head at him to show off her massive horns in response.
"You can't cross here anymore." She growled, glancing at the blue pup with a furrowed brow.
"Why not?!"
"None of your buisness, but you have to go around stray." The dove stated firmly, stepping forward and resting a huge paw on the fence - keen on showing that her threat will turn non-verbal if not respected.

Any other time, Koda would've taken up the dove on her challenge, being skilled with using his horn as a weapon. However, he did not want to risk Ally's safety, as the priarie didn't seem to care. Growling angrily, the rook turned and walked away, heading back into the forest to rest until they took the mountain pass... or until that dove wasn't around anymore.

--

As soon as the pair were gone from sight, Ragna sighed regretfully. She didn't like chasing off the typically friendly wild kukuris, especially if they had pups, but since the incident the dove forced herself into walking patrols almost constantly. More of a gentle giant, being cruel to others was horrible for Ragna but it was her naivety in the first place that cost them that pup that the mountain priarie took from them in the first place. Her blue gaze turned to the faded mountains in the distance, as if staring could somehow will the lost pup back home, if the pup was even still alive.

Flinching away from the sight, her eyes misty, Ragna locked eyes with her handler Cade, back with more lumber for repairing a broken fence. There was a short pause before the croctaur nodded sadly at the priarie, clambering over the fence and strolling back to the farmhouse. Ragna took a heavy step after her, hesitated, and took up her patrol once more instead. Until the dove had made up for her heart-wrenching mistake, she didn't belong back there.

At least out here, she could use her skills to keep everyone else safe.

Even if it was too late...
