My final project for my "Folk Tales from Japan" course was to write and illustrate my own "Japanese" folk tale. My story is called "Kitsune no Onna no Ko" and this is the third (of only four--I ran out of time! ) illustrations for it. This picture illustrates the meeting between Sachiko and Kintarou. I had to do a rush job on this, so I'm especially not happy with the pencil strokes that you can see everywhere. I realize that Sachiko looks like she's pursing her lips--I was having issues with her face and then I ran out of time to really fix that, so... yah.
