The fact is Roboppy has changed from gender-neutral pronoun "watashi" to masculine "oira". By gaining own will, they've changed their gender identity to much more masculine.

I would like to say "trans" too but as much as we thought of him as a girl, it seems that he called Ai "Aniki" since the start and apparently it's used only by guys? Oh well doesn't matter much Roboppy is still Roboppy I guess xD

Aniki means big bro/boss (depending on context as it is used a lot in gangs), so he just calls Ai, who is male, like that. Girls use aniki too if they refer to males.
However, Roboppy used "watashi" when they were a maid robot, which is gender-neutral first person pronoun (girls use it a lot, but in the end it doesn't define gender). Now in their new humanoid form, they changed this pronoun to "oira", which is more casual/rural and "country-pumpkin" version of "ore", which is used by men. Meaning Roboppy has changed (ahem, transitioned) from slightly feminine, yet gender-neutral speech pattern to masculine one.

Changes from "watashi" to "oira". From gender-neutral/feminine first person pronoun to masculine.
