Now before you accuse me of entering my own contest, I have to say that I started this drawing long before I came up with the idea for the contest. This picture is actually what gave me the idea. I just wasn’t able to finish it until recently, and I have no intention of entering it. That would just be ridiculous.

Anyway, this picture is based after a Pokemon game sprite mix I made of nidoking and arcanine. The sprite itself didn’t come out that great as I had to do a significant amount of free-spriting and I’m not accustomed to that style of pixel art, but I liked the idea of the critter itself. That sprite can be found in my scraps. I later ended up drawing the critter and I rather liked it, so I decided to finish it. I made quite a few changes in design from the sprite. When I coloured this I ended up using three totally different colouring styles for the purple, orange and beige parts. XD Despite this fact, I rather like the outcome. I had a lot of fun with this picture.

My scanner somehow managed to cut off the tip of its horn. O.o I’m not really sure how that happened. Meh… To lazy to fix it.
