Description
Name: Blaire Pallathel
Alias: N/A
Gender/Sex: Male
Age: 20
Height: 6'1" / 185cm
Weight: 189 lbs
Orientation:¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Kingdom: Soleil
Class: Priest
Weapon: Staff - Wing
A staff he snuck out of his family's armory, whatever its name was before, Blaire doesn't know. It might've been something rare and powerful, but Blaire honestly has no idea. More likely than not, it's just a decorative staff his family kept around for aesthetic's sake. Whatever its original maker named it is lost now, mainly because Blaire took it upon himself to rename the thing. As you can see...he's not that creative

Abilities:
[STANDING THERE AND LOOKING PRETTY] - Self-explanatory

[TALKING YOU TO DEATH] - He can and will eat up your time if you decide to talk to him. It could come in handy sometimes, if he were keen on getting to know people and learning things. On the other hand, though, he can cite anything from table manners to scripture, and while it is fascinating to him, his conversation topics unintentionally bore most people.

[RETROSPECT EXPERT] - He will comment on everything you could've done better, the kind of guy that fills the silence with, "In hindsight..."

[SINGING] - Surprisingly enough, he likes to and can sing. Never for an audience--how indecent--but if you catch him off guard or on his own, chances are he'll be singing something on his mind.Stats:HP: 15

+ Thoughtful | + Eloquent | + Relaxed | Pacifist | Enigmatic | - Unambitious | - Indifferent | - Critical

Much of who Blaire is can be attributed to how he grew up. Never lacking anything as he grew up, Blaire never learned what hardship was. Even in the face of war on a battlefield, Blaire still seems to be stuck in the mindset that there's no real danger at hand. He's relatively relaxed considering his situation, though he's never on the actual front lines. His relaxed demeanor could also be his way of dealing with his own inner conflicts, whether he really should be wandering blindly into a war for the sake of honour. Or not. Who knows, really.

On the battlefield, he doesn't look to engage anyone in any actual fighting. He's really only there to help people rather than hurt anyone, taking more of a pacifist's approach to things. It's a mix of his distaste for bloodshed and his inability to even lift a sword. It's rare for him to be on the actual battlefield, though. He can usually be found in medical tents and healing areas, trying to help where he can. Away from the battlefield, though, Blaire can mostly be found lost in his own thoughts. He spends most of his time reviewing his readings and magic or contemplating who knows what on his own. Blaire isn't one to be in the thick of crowds or bars. He's the bookish, thoughtful type, preferring to keep to himself. If he does engage you, however, his speech is practiced and eloquent, but some would say he can be enigmatic more so than not.

His faults mainly lie in the fact that he isn't invested in the war at all, and even indifferent to the conflict between Soleil and Noctil. He isn't there for the sake of his country or his people--the only reason he's there is for his family. Blaire is as unambitious as they come, not looking to rise up through the ranks and be some big military legend. If anything, he's just hoping not to die any time soon. His faith told him to be there, not any personal convictions or duties. Soleil the great big bird was his guiding force, not just the empty name. Of course, that's not going to stop him from pointing out what he thinks is going wrong. He may be a man of faith, but he is a critical one. It's an annoying habit that he's been called out for more than once, but that hasn't stopped him. It's not his fault that he's always right and never wrong.

History:

Born into one of Soleil's noble families, Blaire lived a pampered childhood. His mother came from a noble family and his father already made a name for himself in the war. Blaire's siblings were model children, and so was Blaire himself. Honestly speaking, his childhood was mostly unremarkable.

He spent most of his days reading books in the family reading rooms or laying in the shade as he watched his siblings play. He wasn't an adventurous kid. The most he ever wanted to do was see the Golden Plains some day. He was comfortable with the histories he could find from the big tomes on bookshelves and reading them for hours on end. It was an idyllic lifestyle, spent with everyone gathered around the fire and fancy parties every now and then. It was easy to forget that there was a war still going on beyond the family walls. But as content as he was at home, Blaire's family was one devoted to duty and honour.

War ran in his family's blood. He could trace his family tree through military ranks and battles, in history books and bloodshed. There was nothing wrong with that, and if anything, it was what made their family respectable. War was an expectation and a right of passage for them. As Blaire grew older, he saw his brothers join the fight one by one, going off to prove themselves. Blaire had nothing against it, but the idea of his brothers on the Warfront left a bad taste in his mouth. Instead of questioning it any further, Blaire gradually retreated into his faith and belief in Soleil. If anything, his faith was less devotion and more a means to an end. It didn't answer the questions he had on why honour was so important or whether he should follow his brothers onto the battlefield. But it gave him a reason to do so.

His family's honour rode on the expectation of being battle-hardened veterans. How could he be the one to break that? And so, weeks before his birthday, Blaire took up his staff to join his brothers and prove himself, even if he still didn't completely understand their fight. At least he has his faith.

Extras:
- He misses his bird, left him back home
- Honestly, he only wears the hat for appearances sake. It's a pretty cool hat
- Scars on his face from falling off a tree when he was younger
- 3 older brothers and one younger sister
- While his family is wealthy and his lifestyle back home was pretty luxurious, Blaire is considering pursuing a priesthood further
- His favourite colour is blue
- As much as he preaches about the Phoenix, he's terrible around birds that aren't his own.
- Avoids riding anything. No big things. Those are dangerous. So dangerous. "Where's your sense of self preservation?????"
- Still wants to see the Golden Plains.
- Misses his little sister
