Last nights live stream paint. A bit much for me to finish in one sitting, so it's pretty messy.During space engagements any elementals on board will aid in defending their ship by intercepting incoming rounds, either deflecting or destroying them.

They have a lot of that special "plot armor"
Some can go down easily to a hail of small arms fire, while others can do the magical things you mentioned. At least with the naval fire they'd be more likely pushing the shells off target, rather than stopping them dead.

interesting thing here, what is an elemental though? must be rough work for a person in a space suit to deflect missiles. or are these some kind of big mechs?

Just regular people in suits, but deflecting incoming fire is just a small part of what they can do.

This is by far the coolest concept for the Elementals. And if they're smart, they'll fling the incoming rounds BACK.

If they have the energy to they can, though the most efficient thing to do is to push them off enough to miss.

A good reason for suits designed for marine work to have a receptacle for a power plug to the ship's main reactor.

I have a cloud brush that i modified from a PS default. But almost all my other work is a hard edge round with opacity and size controlled by pressure. I love round brush

Is there a limit to how much force they can deflect?
Cause it would suck to be an elemental in space if your gettin hit by super charged rounds =[

Yea seeings as actually stopping a naval shell would fling them of the ship, they just push it to the side, also applying as much force to anchor themselves. ON the ground they have enough power to stop conventional stuff.

I'd actually want a carbon fiber/graphite nanotube blend. Much stronger than plain old steel.
