Nice. Firm and blocky and its center of mass is close enough to the main engines to give it some maneuverability.

Very cool! I like how you used the different shades of grey to make a good speed painting. I wish I could have seen the livestream. How many different shades would you say you used, 15?

Many more, I didn't try to work within a limited pallet. Any indication of limited shades is artifacting caused by overlay brushing and levels adjustments, along with certain other brushes effects.

Clearly not rated for entry or gravity wells of sorts.

Quite a large force yes, but taking or defending a planet is a larger task than just a single country so multiple ships like this would be needed to attack a properly defended planet.

But itΒ΄s enough troops to board quite a few ships! I like the massive, clunky and heavy appearence of it.

Was the B&W intentional?

Shimmering-Sword In reply to Colourbrand [2012-11-25 11:20:35 +0000 UTC]
Yeah, I'd call this a sketch though it obviously has painted elements. All done in B&W with a levels adjustment at the end which adds a hint of color.

Wow, nice!! I tell you, though, you have not gone OLD-SCHOOL until you have drawn a classic, three-finned rocket ship. [link] Arr, I remember the old days, blasting our jets to get out beyond old Luna and feathering down for jet landing on Venus or Mars- none of them fancy electroneeec gizmos to fly the ship fer ya, you had to do all the piloting with a good old slide rule and blue graph paper. The height of a pilot's skill was a perfect, three-finned landing. Of course, the real old-timers who had to climb into giant cannons, build ships out of cavorite, or ride on giant moths were the real space-men, none today can compare to their daring...
