Sol Badguy is to Guilty Gear as is Ryu To Street Fighter. The iconic character that nost people remembered when they first saw or played it.

As much as I like 3d based fighting games, 2D fighting will always be my preferable choice and all time favourite of the two. There's a certain beauty in the 2D portrayals that just gets the blood pumping and the fingers twitching. One thing I've always like about GG is the darker, flamboyant, heavy metal atmosphere with the twisted array of characters, the instant kills and most importantly the hypnotic tunes that pump out in each round. Anyone whose a GG fan can agree that the music has always shined throughout the series and that Sol is one of the most iconic characters.

Personally I had fun with this one since it was a breath of fresh air to approach something different as well as put new techniques to the test. As you might have noticed I was playing around more with textures through the use of 'Multiply' and 'Overlay' in Layers. Along with that, still trying to find that certain touch in the work and being a bit more conscious to what works and what doesn't. I think the piece is missing something though and I just can't find it? Perhaps it's in the face or maybe else where but it's one of those occurrences where no matter how hard you look you just can't find it. Any ideas or areas you guys feel that aren't quite in the ballpark would be a appreciated to help me with later projects.

Hope you guys out there like it and just to give you a heads up if you've read this far: This is the first real submission of illustrative human anatomy. Not perfect of course, but it's a first.
