Description The initial idea was something very different but it changed along the way as I was making the composition sketches.
Anyway, this is the end result. A combination of still life and landscape... kind of.

- graphite and charcoal pencil on paper
- 30x42 cm
- about 25 hours

i just started using charcoal for the first time this summer semester in school, and i have to say, its so much more forgiving than pencil, and i am actually enjoying it more than i thought.

that being said, this is yet another amazing peice of work. the detail is unbelievable, and you can see every crease and fold in the fabric, the water in the glass, the background itself, it is really truely beautiful

Ooooo, I absolutely love the way you handled the fabric. Very soft looking, and the folds are fantastic! Question though; did you mean to make this a more surreal still life....with the branch looking like it blends into the background?
