Description Been listening to Yulia Savicheva... song title the same as this picture's title. Beautiful song, but... very sad. After a while it just depresses me.

"Forgive me for love..."

Your art is beautiful and this is one of my favourite songs! I'm so glad I found your gallery.

OMG,the picture is soooo BEAUTIFUL!!!!
And I love Savicheva's songs. Especially "Kak tvoi dela" (How you're doing) and "Zdravstvui eto ya" (Hello, it's me). I wish that someone would illustrate them too...

I can't help but notice that though several people were confused about what is obviously a pillow, no one has wondered WHY she is naked and in a cave. The drawing is fantastic, but how and why is she there? What is her backstory? Why am I such a loser that I care?
Questions for humanity, I suppose.

Oooooh very nice

I love listening to Russian music even though I dont know Russian. I have picked up some Russian from listening to it though, for instance I knew 'Prosti' meant forgive me or forgive or something.

At first glance i thought that pillow was a dress O.o

She looks so sad, so forlorn...
It's not really all that often that a piece of artwork makes me really sympathize with the character portrayed, but right this minute I'm feeling the impulse to throw my fluffiest bathrobe into the dryer till it's toasty-warm, then give it to her along with some hot cocoa and words of reassurance/comfort.
Well done!

Totally true. I myself love sad songs, they always somehow convey more emotion than 'homies gettin' down in da club'. I don't know, must just be me, lol. But I can only listen to a few before I start getting depressed myself. And my sister thinks I'm a total dweeb because some songs actually make me cry (I can't think about the lyrics when singing along to 'Youth of the Nation' by Linkin Park, for example).

mickman63 In reply to Nukapei [2007-01-26 04:11:22 +0000 UTC]

I also agree... and you can flame me for this , but I believe 'Youth of the Nation' was by P.O.D. I'm not aware of a version by Linkin Park. .... *hides under nearby rock*

I can totally relate to that, some songs just make you want to sob, for me it's 'Overcome' by Live. It's like watching sad movies, you still have a reaction.

Sorry, the 'dga' and 'vikiy vikiy' were reprints from Marcinko. Supposedly, "vikiy vikiy Vostok" is slang for wild, wild East. Or some such.

lol, alright. ^^ i'm russian, which is why i ask. i woulda thought that if you knew russian (like, fluently), i woulda known about it by now. >> then again, i once spent an entire quarter being taught lasers and optics by a guy named Roland Winston (who had no accent, mind you)... and on the last day found out that he was born and raised in moscow, two subway stops away from me. *facedesk*

anyways. i don't think i know that song. or, i might have heard it on the radio a million times, but don't associate the name with the song. she has a new one out, very pretty, called either "malo" or "rasve malo". ^^

Yeah, that's a fine theory... but it only further underlines my holy-crap-tastic obliviousness to such simple solutions... I don't know how many years I've been around her... and I never knew. O.o Which is important. Because I'm russian. *facedesk*
