Trying to do some anime-looking art for the A-kon art show next month. This is one of those pieces. It's one of the VERY VERY few things this month that I've finished that hasn't been a steaming pile of crap. (Ha, steaming, see what I did there)... sure it's not the best ever and the pose and design are bland but hopefully I made up for that in color.Related content

The artisan sculptor was not pleased with the little figure he had made for his client's clockwork, she was pleased by the client's response:

my ex-husband and i are wondering if you're taking commissions for artwork. we run "ravenwood festival" in fayetteville, arkansas, and other goth and steampunk events all around the region, and are looking for someone to design art for our fliers, posters and other promotional materials.

This picture is absolutely gorgeous. I love the way you shaded her hair, and her dress is just stunning. The gears you used in the background and her wings also catch my eye, they do a wonderful job of reinforcing the steampunk theme.

The colours are, indeed, gorgeous. I love the way the pattern creeps over her skin, too. And the wings! They look like two semitransparent membranes with cogs trapped between them, and the effect is awesome.
