I think I've asked myself that question a few dozen times myself...it's the curse of the lonely person, male or female, it doesn't matter. Always wondering if someone will finally appreciate what only we have to offer instead of being just friends.

It's incredibly frustrating when the person you like is involved in a relationship with some inconsiderate jerk, meanwhile you offer that person advice and consolement and encouragement about their predictably crappy relationship while mentally bashing your forehead against the keyboard, wondering what the hell you are doing.
