The is the final for the first project of my Editorial Illustration class. I appologize for the grainy quality, I took a picture with a camera because the scanner kept washing the color out.The concept was how to depict what you feel about America and the main focus had to be the America flag. I was thinking about the political parties glorifing the war in Iraq and the reasons why we are still over there closely mirror the ideals of the Spartans in the movie 300. But, the reasons seem hollow: different time, different methods of war. So, my final concept: America's lost her heart, Glory is hollow.
