.............if you even remotely recognize the allusion in the title, then I sincerely apologize for my lameness.I wanted to upload an example of the CG style I'll be using for Essence. This particular scene takes place after the two escape the facility Alice woke in and seek refuge in an abandoned truck for the night. Cath would most certainly tell you that he's smiling because he enjoys the view; certainly not because he garners a sadistic pleasure from Alice's anger. No. Not at all.
No, I do not know how to anatomy/perspective/color/usesubtletextures/artingeneral.

The cell-shading looks so crisp and smooth, but the texture also makes it more interesting to look at *0*
The lighting and the anatomy and the perspective all look great, everything in this piece just works so well.
Also, I love love love the expression on Cath's face! It's nice to see him smiling, even if it is a sadistic smile xD

A few examples...
This song plays when Alice and Cath talk in the truck.
A song I have deemed as Ivan's theme. It's a very interesting combo of Russian strings/electro XD So it's perfect.
Most of the songs are techno-ish like those.
Those there's one "mischievous" song that's all traditional, and I use some piano pieces too
...Like Daemon's theme. :'D It's reserved and calm like him...though I also specifically used a piano piece for another reason.
You can imagine his voice however you like, I really can't stop you. Just like I couldn't keep you from picturing Gathony as Ganondorf.
And I know, I'm really not a dere at all...but I turned out to be kuudere too XD Although you're not especially "dere" yourself

Daemon's theme is... kind of sad D: You can sort of imagine it playing with natural sounds in the background, but of course there aren't any birds or rustling trees or flowing streams in the landscape to integrate... I suppose that's why it's sad

Nah, imagining him with a heavy accent is too difficult because he's not using the slang to go with it XD
