Like the old saying lose your parent you lose your past, lose your sibling you lose your present, but lose your child you lose your future.
This picture is sad, the father's face looks stony, like his heart just died.
This picture will help me with making art with my deceased Mother.

Bukan "menang" sih itungannya, karena emang bukan lomba. Cuma kebetulan ikut dimuat di JPG Mag edisi 12. Thanks.

amazing photo, struck a chord with me, have been hanging around grief lately. You have captured something really human and real. What a tragedy, children shouldn't die.

There's a quote from an America show called Six Feet Under that is quite fitting to this:
"You know what I find interesting? If you lose a spouse, you're called a widow, or a widower. If you're a child and you lose your parents, then you're an orphan. But what's the word to describe a parent who loses a child? I guess that's just too f***ing awful to even have a name."
No parent should ever lose a child and his image brings what I think is a small insight into that feeling of grief!
Wonderfully shot!

Never seen the show, but... yes, I think that's an appropriate way to say it. Thank you for dropping by!

Oh god this is so moving, it really makes me want to cry...just the expression on the mans face and how small the woman looks. This is beautifully done, great work.

wow that is an awesome and touching photo. Makes you really think about what you have and how quickly it can be taken. No parent should have to bury their child.

How awful. I like how the parents(?) are the only people whose faces are shown. And they look like they're being watched over by their daughter.

It was actually the reason why I took the photo, as soon as the parents sat down I could see that I could frame them and the photograph of their daughter without any other distracting elements. The decision to take it, though, was a rather tough one. Thank you for the comment, mate.

He's just calmed down. Moments before, he was as emotional as his wife. People cope with tragedy differently.
