Deviation #158Here (finally) is my very first Spriting tutorial! I don't know if it's any good, but non the less here it is. Quite a few people have asked me "can you teach me how to make Sprites," or "can you make a tutorial," after so much time I have finally made one for you guys. Amoung the people that requested for a tutorial are: and
This tutorial has taken me quite a few hours to come up with and I hope it is enjoyed by all! I made it using Graphics Gale. And I also made all of the Sprites myself completely from Scratch!!

I use Graphics Gale , I like to call it a more advanced version of MSPaint, one that is made specifically for Spriting.

i fail at starting scratch >_< i cant stand it looking all yucky at first and i get frustrated and give up >_<

Yeah, it can be annoying, but that is my technique, I bet that there is a way to move around it. But it is feels awesome when you see how the Sprite transforms to something much better!

Your sprite tutorial is pretty good
Even before I could make some sprites by my own, I had to learn to make better sprites, better edits, I had to make several practices, but I can now make sprites for animation much better

Yeah, but when I do spriting, most times I have to make animated versions for use in upcoming Flash animations.

Oh yeah, although I had to make a custom body for a character since her original sheet was nearly useless and I need to make her legs and her cloth.
It's on my gallery, but it's a Flash animation, and she's Megumi Oumi, since I had to make custom legs to go with her style...

This is amazing, and I've never really 'sprited' before. I call it pixelling and just make cute, kawaii little things.

Yeah, it can be called Pixelling to, although I think calling it Spriting is more common. :/
