If you haven't seen this movie, go watch it, It stars Faye Dunaway, William Holden, and Peter Finch and it is truly a masterpiece.
If you're in the habit of watching the Oscars, I'm sure you've seen the famous scene of Peter Finch telling everyone to scream out the window, "I'm mad as hell and I'm not going to take this anymore!"
In a nutshell, the movie is about a TV network (hence: Network) which, when one of its top news anchors goes crazy, decides to capitalize on the sensation, and in the end, when he is no longer of use to them, they orchestrate his death, "the first man every killed for bad reviews..."
Truly, it is a wonderful piece of cinematography, and my mom and I recently sat down and watched it - her again, me for the first time. I cannot tell you how amazed I was. The social commentary, while being satirical and funny, has taken on a scary edge with time, which can't be ignored when you watch it today. It has become more than a satire in this, the true age of television.

The warning is for the language here, especially in the bottom right corner, and I would like to mention that I by no means use this language or approve of it, but I do believe in remaining true to the original script, so please do not be offended, as this is not meant to be insulting to anyone.
