It's a special marker that helps to blend the inks together. I have them for colored pencils, but I knew they wouldn't work on markers since they're different

I typically use just white with my colored pencils to blend, unless it needs to keep all of its color and not be lightened, in which case I use my colorless blender. I like blenders because it helps to smooth stuff out, but manage without them
