lil fox cub drawn on hand made bark paper i used black derwents art pencil and primacolor ,was hard work at first but ok once i got used to the paper.how could they hunt and kill them so cruel.i am entering it into the animal rights contest ran by [link]thankyou very much for allowing me to draw your fox.[link] if you love animals please check out her fab gallery,i whant to draw the daddy scar soon

hi there! well, the fox is cute, seems to be smiling (lol) and you seems to have had a hard work with the fur. the eyes got a nice effect with the brightness.
but the background seems to me lacking life... maybe you could have used stronger colors. the same to the wood. what´s the point for this? the fur of the fox is very clear, and if there´s no really darker areas around, there´s no contrast, and therefore no actual highlight. the animal and the whole scene would appear much better if the colors around were stronger.
also the anatomy of the fox could be better defined. in the original photo, i could see that the neck, for exampe, begin very under the point you painted.
and it´s not recommended that the figure is put so in the middle of the canvas, but more in a irregular way, to give movement to the painting.
well, just some tips. good job.

Now this is just too cute! I love the way the fox seems to be smiling at the viewer. I just can't get over the way you draw and color fur-it's so realistic!
To me, it seems like you put a lot of effort into the fox, and it really shows. But it looks like (at least to me) not as much focus was put into the background (I'm guilty of this sometimes as well), especially the grass and flowers.
Overall, this is a very nice drawing, and your skills will keep improving.

yes hes a real cutie,i finaly manage to work out how to do the fur a better way,i have started to draw backgrounds more but on this i whanted to show off the paper as its got some nice strands of wood running though it,thanks well improve together

it looks nicer in real life,its better with soft pencils and its hard to use an erasor but tik tak works well ,ive bought plenty so ill be using it again soon
