I think you did a wonderful job. Did you use the Deviant Art Program on the browser to color your art? I'm new to Devart ( literally signed up today ) and I have no clue how to use the website. x)

No. I used SAI you can install it about 2-5 minutes. and it's a reaalllyy nice software!! then i also reccommend photoshop :3

It's been so long since I've even used photo shop, I don't think I'll remember what it's like. I have some drawings that I've been afraid to physically color, so do any of these programs allow me to upload the image, and essentially color it via my computer? So I don't permanently ruin it?

You need to scan it. and to make it more "pretty" XD you can line art your work there are several tutorials here in dA just search it there in the search bar :3 i Love to use Paint tool SAI in coloring. but i just find it hard to do vectors so i make the vectors in the photoshop
