One thing I love about visual art is the ability to become completely transfixed by one single image. I for one wouldn't want to see the Mona Lisa's smile fade after a while. And I never want to see this cat walk through the plant ridden gates into the atmosphere rich home before it. I never want to see if this home has people living in it, or if it's just an abandoned house. And that is just what I loveΒ art. And 'The Cat Returns' in general.Β
The entire aura of this is so fantastic. It's so delectably put together that it almost looks like a painting as apposed to detailed sketch. But that is just what it is. A detailed sketch. And a fantastically detailed sketch at that. When you look at it you don't even think about it. You just get sucked into this instant and (In my case at least) don't at all wonder what is going to happen next because this one single moment is so well done that you don't NEED to know what will happen next.

What a surprise. It's luminous and deep. Yet it still has the playfulness of a young person. There is magic in this art. I go around trying to grasp the Β impressions that emerge out of the world. I study things around me and try and go deeper into the truths of everything. I usually trust my judgement on what IΒ intuit. I wobbled a bit when I saw this drawing. It has a naughtiness to it...which shocked me. It made me wonder who theΒ creature is that sketched this. I have looked through a little of your gallery and will goΒ soon and look a little further. There is sharpness in your art...and I expect your mind has this sharpness too....and obvious intensity. I'd love to seeΒ work of yours on rough textured canvases.Β I'm wondering about thick cotton cloth...as raw as possible.Β I believe you can take on far more mature themes. You have the potential to shock and surprise. Your shading is great, explore this further. I see wind in your art...a strong wind element. It needs more water elements to balance it and give it depthΒ of feeling. The feelingsΒ are there but appear so fast that I expect most people miss them.Β The one feeling I am left with after this artwork has colourfully flittered through my mind is that of sorrow. I'm wondering whatΒ this is, I cannot be sure at all since it feels so intangible. I'm going to look at your gallery now and see what else I can discover. There is much hidden in your work. This is as it should be. Thanks for the light in this drawing.

It kinda makes me feel like I'm a kid and I'm exploring the strange, supposedly evil old persons house. You know the kind that has bad stories floating around them, but really they are just old and lonely and would make you cookies.
I think I would love to live in a house like that. Makes me think of The Secret Garden somehow.
Great attention to detail. I like the way it's kinda blurry, it gives a dreamy feel. I know charcoal and graphite tend to have a blurry look, but maybe blurry isn't the word. Warm maybe. It's like I can feel the sunlight.

This has so much detail and all the way out to the paper edges, yet so soft and shadowy. I like everything about it, including the title. And the medium. I have a very wide range of what I like to look at, but I've always somewhat favored pencil, charcoal, and chalk drawings over ink, crayon, watercolor, paints, or photos. Yet I've many favorites of those as well. And despite medium, it generally depends upon each individual picture and how well it was done and what it conveyed to me in thoughts and mood and or I can't quite define yet means something special to me. You did good work here. It's very interesting to look at.

I remain in awe of your style. Beyond the norm, you have that touch of individuality to your art which makes it reach an inch or so above the norm of amazement and makes each and every piece you make worth attention. Thank you so much for sharing these with us!
Heh - and I now have that song stuck in my head. Humming while looking at art, what better place to be?
