for some reason, this sorta shows what I always imagined Anubis as.... Not man with a jackal head, not a jackal with a man's body, but more like just an anthro.

I agree, full on anthros for Egyptian Mythology God/Goddess'. Always seems a little silly when they just have the animal heads.

Yikes! Shiv, what sets you from the rest in pieces like this — and I can't say it enough — is your detail in black. The use of light blue as a highlight color adds a certain pop and dazzle to the piece.
