Tribute to one of my favorite movies of all time! I hope all you fans out there like it too! This was so much fun. I've never done so much glitter.At first I was just searching on deviantart and I didn't see all that many tributes to the Red Bull so I just drew a sketch and then I decided to throw in the unicorn and it got so out of control!

So this is one of the books that have been offered to our senior class as part of the "Reading Gala", and I would love to hear more about the plot. Also this art is smashing, particularly the balance of colors and value.

The story is really nice. I haven't actually read the book though I want to. I don't know the differences that make the movie different from the book but I can give you a short summary if you like.
Basically there is this Unicorn that hasn't seen any of her kind for ages so she goes on a journey to find them. In the process she gets captured by a witch and meets a magician that helps her escape. The Magician and the unicorn travel together and come across various obstacles and then they're party becomes a trio. They meet the Red bull for the first time and the unicorn is transformed into a human.Eventually they arrive at a sea side castle where they meet King Haggard and his son. The Unicorn struggles with her new human emotions as the prince attempts to win her heart. I dare not reveal any more. It is a fascinating story. I'm sorry I couldn't describe it any better.

As someone who's seen the movie and read the book, let me assure you, the movie actually sticks very close to the book. Some lines I can practically hear the voice actors from the movie.
Go ahead and read it, better yet buy yourself a copy to keep.

As far as I know they never finished it.. they started it about 10 years ago or more? and it just kind of fell through. I think it was suppose to be finished around 2008 or so. makes me so sad that they lost budgeting

Amazing! I love the way you drew this picture based on the animated movie : The Last Unicorn. Its an excellent movie and I'm happy that you did it, because it is one of the more forgotten movies out there.

It basically goes back to King Lir, years later when he's old. He never really could get over her, I...don't want to spoil it incase you want to read it. The other characters do make appearances.

Watch it! Form your own opinion, but a lot of people loved this movie when they were kids and are still fans as adults. I think its a great movie.
