Let's start this thing: Rumia's team! (I will get to PC-98s, don't worry, but I wanted to start with EoSD for now.)

Rumia's powers of darkness tend to attract Pokemon who can't stand the light. She met Calaeno (Keh-ly-no) on the borders of the Magic Forest and the Misty Lake, a small Murkrow who had a troubling sleep schedule: Murkrows are nocturnal, but, being so small, Calaeno was often in danger of being attacked by diurnal youkai as she slept and was weak among the powerful forest youkai in the night.
The Vullaby that would become Podarge was in a similar situation---his mother having abandoned him, his wings too small for flight, and there being no weaker youkai for him to pick on, the also Dark-Flying Pokemon was near out of luck.

Rumia, who saw herself in their bullied and dark-loving personalities, nurtured the birds to the formidable allies they are now. Named after one of Greek mythology's three harpies, winged spirits infamous for stealing food, that is called both Calaeno ("the dark") and Podarge ("fleet-foot,") the trio might not be the strongest team in Gensokyo, but they are quite notorious for causing meat to mysteriously disappear in the night.
They love perching on her outstretched arms.
