Heeere's something that I've been working on every chance I get. I really like how the pose for this one turned out. Sorry it's nothing really new, just really fun to make. It's good to get back into it!Related content

I don't know what it is, but something about the expression makes him look.. lifeless, it might be the positioning of the eyes but I'm not sure.
The head is also abit too big in comparison to the rest of the body and the foremost foot is too flat.
Everything else is FUCKING PERFECT though <3

I know what you're talking about in the lifelessness of this, it's the eyes. All in the eyes. I've compared it to that new stuff that's out, and I TOTALLY want to redo this.

I look very very very carefully at official art, yeah.
Drawing in the style itself takes practice, it all does.
References are AWLAYS good.

The only difference between advance and adventure was at how advance was more of a jagged and sharp approach, whereas adventure was more rounded and smooth.

yea, the two also pertain different poses as well.
Respectively with their appearances, they use the same style for their poses.
Sonic Adventure, all of the poses somehow fitted into a circle whereas Advance was generally standing to look square/elongated etc.

To me, it's all the same style. Sonic Advance and Sonic Adventure are the same, Advance is just more developed. And yeah, Sonic's blue shadows are darker, I've noticed how it's been like that for some reason.
