Description This was my VERY first anime. EVER. I was like, 5 years old when I first saw it. I'm thinking of walking to the video store and renting it right now. My Neighbor Totoro is probably my favorite Miyazaki film. I wish I owned it. I got the idea to do it when I saw that TCM was doing Miyazaki movies on Thursday this month. ~squee~

But anyway, this is crappy, quick, and definitely has room for improvement. Forgive my lack of background, I'm lazy.

Totoro was my first anime ever too! It was my favorite movie when I was a little kid and I still watch it all the time. I wish I had a Totoro so bad!

Excellent job, sis! Totoro is one of the only Miyazaki movies I haven't seen! >_< The girls and I all love Spirited Away. I took Katrina to see Howl's Moving Castle for her birthday last year. It was fantastic!

Was it? I've never seen it! I JUST got back from the video store. I always feel so goofy renting it. What's the Moving Castle one about?

(thanks for the fav!)

It's about a moving castle. XD
Seriously, it's about a wizard, with a flame diety friend, and all these people are after him, so he created....literally, a moving castle. There's also a young girl that gets trapped in an old body, and a bouncing scarecrow on a stick. Typical Miyazaki characters.....unusually creative. Excellent story!

Hey! Chris' nephew's girlfriend just now joined dA! Go say hi, okay? Her name is Valerie and her screen name is . She's a graffiti artist, and she's kind of shy, but she's really cool!

Every couple of years, I just go out and rent it! It's so sweet. Really captivating. Miyazaki really is a master animator. You can just see the difference in movement between the two sisters, the way they walk, and stuff.

Wow.... I shall try my hardest to buy the DVD

I already have Spirited Away and Laputa: Castle in the Sky.
those two really move me! Miyazaki is a truely impressive animator/story teller!
