My entry for the Reboot fan art contest soon coming to a close. Heard about this, knew I had to enter. Reboot was such an awesome show.Obviously I've given Bob a bit of a Tron makeover, which is fitting what with Tron Legacy out soon, as well as the fact Reboot was clearly inspired by Tron, so call it reverse-reverse engineering...or something like that, I dunno.

Really cool concept, I digged both TRON and Reboot a lot. This work just reminded me of its existence in the tooniverse, as well.

Brings back some good memories. Tony Jay was a God as Megabyte. I hear a movie is in the works, don't know if it is a continuation or a reboot( haw haw haw...).

I don't know whether ReBoot was actually inspired by Tron, since coincidences do happen (and the show is so full of references that I can't see them not including a blatant Tron reference if that were the case)... but there are indeed sufficient similarities, both in broad concept and detail, that one of my roleplaying buddies had the delightful idea that Tron founded the Guardians.

It works extremely well, if one assumes that any differences in the depicted worlds that can't be explained by the passage of time are errors in the User interpretation of events. I play Enzo in our game, and I've made him a big fan of the Tron stories, comic bytes and suchlike; I figure there are lots of legends and outright fabrications in addition to the proper historical stories, kind of in the vein of Robin Hood. I've also named the Academy campus buildings after Tron and his companions (Ram Hall, Yori Hall, Dumont Hall, etc.). It's fun times.
