Description
A new Dark Tower collage, made in the spirit of the great Drew Struzan. I've been wanting to do something like this since my previous Gunslinger poster , and this blows that one clear out of the water.The cast:
Nathan Fillion (Firefly, Serenity) as Roland Deschain, the Gunslinger
Milo Ventimiglia (Heroes) as Eddie Dean, the Prisoner
Zoe Saldana (Star Trek, Avatar) as Susannah Dean, the Lady of the Shadows
Nathan Gamble (The Mist, The Dark Knight) as Jake Chambers, the Boy
Ray Winstone (Beowulf, Indiana Jones 4) as Cort, the Teacher
Johnny Depp as Walter O'Dim, the Man in Black (though in painted form, it kinda looks more like Michael Wincott)

Not sure about the casting but each to their own!
I was really looking forward to when the books would be adapted to a film series, but from the outset it's looked like they've messed it up. The relatively low budget for a film of epic proportions, and straying too far from the wonderful source material. I hope I'm wrong. Β

I'm not so sure about Johnny Depp as Walter, if only because I'm afraid he'd turn the Man in Black into a Jack Sparrow knockoff like he did to Tonto and Barnabas Collins.

I dunno about Fillion as Roland, just seems too young to me for such a role. That and his voice, someone capable of a more gravelly/world weary tone would suite the role better I feel. But hey, to each their own right?
The poster itself is just phenomenal, I can't find a single flaw. My favorite part is the contrast between Susannah and Detta Walker, wonderfully done.

Not bad at all, in fact quite good. Although if it were me I'd go with Andrew Lincoln (AMC's The Walking Dead)as Roland since he's got the gunslinger look down pat in his series.
Him or Rob Lowe (who has worked on a few movies adapted from Stephen King's work before such as the 2004 miniseries 'Salem's Lot).

this is incredible. this should be the actual movie poster if it ever ends up on film...which it better...and it better be the best film King has ever done..due to his notoriety of having mostly crap adaptations of his novels. again, excellent job. if anyone would like another candidate for Roland, check out the new show "Hell on Wheels", he may not be the 'perfect' choice, but its another idea.

Absolutely beautiful work, the colours are superb. I would love to know how you managed the Stuzran look, did you edit existing images in Photoshop/Illustrator or have you drawn them completely by hand?

Mostly I assembled existing images and painted over them in Photoshop, which is MUCH HARDER than it sounds.

Nathan Fillion as Roland? I hadn't considered it, but he's amazing in anything he does, and he definitely has the gunslinging aspect down.
I also didn't think of Milo Ventimiglia as Eddie, but good lord he sure has the look in the way you've depicted him.
