Well since I didn't Make the Udon Streetfighter Contest Cut, I guess I can Show this now.This was my entry in the Udon Streetfighter Art Contest.
I wanted to do characters that all had something in common. So I picked Guy, Cody, Sodom, Hugo, Rolento,and Poison. If you think about it ...they were ALL in a streetfighter game at one time...and they were all in Final Fight.
I figured everyone was going to do something on the Street-fighter 3rd strike end..and I wanted to do something different.
Here is a lesson for you guys who enter art contest like these......
think of a pic that no one would ever expect...that if the contest's judges had a pile of drawings(yours included) they threw them all in the air, and they all scattered to the ground...they could pic yours out of all of them.
I figured the Reunion of all of the characters from the Original Mad Gear gang would definitly stick out.
So here it is ...I thought it was a good pic.....guess it was just not Udon worthy.
But you learn a lot from Defeat than Victory...and it seems I need to practice my art just a little more to become a master at it.

One thing is for sure, UDON sucks ass for not including this piece on their book.
They wouldn't know/acknowledge true talent even if it's right there in front of them. But instead they chose to stick with mediocre artists that produce the same shit, lackluster material, etc.

I dunno man, this image is pretty awesome. I don't know why it wasn't picked; for what it is it's pretty much perfect. The only thing I would've done differently was make it 8.5 x 11, but whatever 'cause this kicks ass. Good job!

ahahahaha, in fact both of them are GIRLS on japanese Final Fight, but as american guys of Capcom thought they had to do something about hitting a woman in a videogame, they just invented that Poison/Roxy (witch are almost the same, just different colors) where transexual people, what is just ridiculous and very weird... cos it is wrong to beat down a woman, but if its a gay/transexual one, NO PROBLEM??? guess they didnt thought about that. duh!

Looks like the Mad Gear decided to throw a 'Welcome Home' party for Guy & Cody, after they got back to the streets of 'Metro City! Great poses & facial expressions, all around!

Because the Final Fight cast is my favorite part of the entire Street Fighter mythos, I feel it absolutely necessary to fave this. My own SF1 and Vega/Alex submissions didn't make it, but my original idea was so much more FF than SF that it would have never even stood a chance: Damnd and Abigail smashing a luxury sedan in a parking spot reserved for a Mr. Haggar. Cody was awesome, I play him in Alpha 3, tossing a rock that hits as hard as a Hadoken pretty much cements you as a bad ass. And handcuffs to keep you from killing people helps.

That goes against what they claimed they were looking for. They said they wanted diversity, but I'll bet most of the stuff in that book is Udonish style. This should have made it.
