Description
A benefit festival on the Big Island asked to use some of my old Pele art for their flyer, so I took the evening to draw ‘em a new one! My Pele-drawing skills have come… a long way over the past ten years.Thanks to the DA commenter who pointed out my lack of lehua blossoms some eight years ago! Learning slowly but surely.

Yes your drawing has gained depth but I feel like you're comparing apples to oranges. The old Pele was a line-drawing (& a really good 1 at that). This one is a full colour, full body painting which I also love. Stop being so hard on yourself. I hope you do one with her lover the water/sea god (who's name I cannot remember). If you take requests I'd LOVE a human-form Maid Marrion in her 'Teens, because that was when you were wed back then isn't it? No Robin in the same pic but I'd enjoy a separate one of human-him as well but he'd need to be considerably older as he's returned from the Crusades...

I'm not being hard on myself, It's a joke! I'm just saying that I am literally a better artist now, as a 30-year-old, than I was as an 18-year old.
