Giovanni is always polite and friendly to the people he meets, greeting them with a smile. Because of his line of work, he's learned to be attentive to the customers and takes note when they like something a certain way. He especially remembers the regulars to the cafe. He's always believed that his flirty nature was a positive trait of his, since it's put him in the good graces of many. But he's usually seen as not serious since he's thrown himself at so many. This carefree air of his makes him easily approachable but he can rarely get a person to give him a second look if he drops the act. He comes off as arrogant at times, thinking he could woo whomever he wants. He also likes to boast that he's best at making desserts. Easily excitable and highly energetic, it's hard to calm this man down at times. It can be annoying but he just cranks up the charm to distract from it and can then get away with it.

His parents were not very well suited for each other but after finding out that they were expecting a child, the decided to try to get along for the child's sake. They were married and Giovanni was born soon after. He was well taken care of by his parents, though they rarely got along with each other. His father was a flirty playboy, always sneaking out to be with another woman. When Gio turned 8, his mother finally filed for a divorce and left to live back with her parents until she could get on her feet again. Giovanni was very close with his grandparents, spending most of his time with them. He was the closest with his grandmother, who was constantly in the kitchen baking for the neighborhood and the local church. One day Giovanni spent the afternoon watching her, intrigued at all the delicious and beautiful things she had made. He asked to help her and has been hooked on baking ever since.

Over the years he had refined his skills, even going to culinary school for it. Giovanni has had a few jobs in cafes and restaurants, but none of them lasted long. He feared it was because he looked too imposing by how big he was. He wanted to seem more friendly and caring, but most of his methods made him come off as flirty. It ended up helping him keep a job at a restaurant as a waiter after he had graduated. But it still wasn't what he wanted to do. So he looked for jobs at a handful of places, finally finding the Bara Cafe. He saw this as a place for him to fit in more ways than one and was more than excited to apply for the job.

He currently lives on his own in the city. He talks regularly to his grandparents and mother (who has since remarried). Giovanni doesn't have much of a relationship with his father, only hearing from him every once in a while.

Humming to himself he cracked the egg above the bowl, watching as the yolk dropped in. Giovanni smiled as he mixed it all together until it was smooth, just as it was supposed to be~ Pulling the pan toward him, he poured the batter in with a quick hand. It only took a few more minutes before it was in the oven. He kicked the door closed, spinning over to the other counter. His humming turned into full out singing, his eyes half closed as he started to make the frosting. It was automatic for him to make, whipping it up nice and fluffy like no one else could. Well, except for his grandmother. That was something special they shared. He could still hear her now, snapping at him to not space out while he was making the icing. He chuckled. Boy did he miss her. He would have to plan to get out to see her and his grandfather. Taking in a deep breath, he smiled when he smelled the cake. Time to serve it to his darling customers~
