Ambitious/Competitive/Straight-forward/Optimistic

Dohyun always has a fire lit inside of him. He's always looking to the horizon for the next opportunity and his chance to take it. When he puts his mind to something, he goes for it at 100%. Because of his time playing sports, he's gain a healthy sense of competitiveness. He likes working with others, since it pushes him to try harder. He also thinks it keeps things "interesting". Dohyun is known to be quite blunt and always says what is on his mind. He doesn't care to hide how he's feeling because he doesn't understand the benefit behind doing so. He's honest, even if it gets him into trouble. When he does get into trouble, or things are just not going his way, he never lets any of it get him down. He keeps a very positive outlook on life and tries to find the silver lining in most everything. He finds life is too short to not enjoy every moment of it.

His excess energy often causes him to be unruly and hard to deal with. He's a natural troublemaker. On top of that he is quite flirtatious. He will flatter just about anything with two legs. His intentions are not for sexual reasons, rather he just likes seeing other people's reactions and really likes the skinship that goes with it. Dohyun can be quite unpredictable at times. His often doesn't think about the consequenses and will spontaneously decide to do something like change his hair or the person he is currently seeing. One of his most dangerous traits is his arrogance. His ambitions often cause him to think of his abilities in high regard and it inflates his own ego. His arrogance also tricks him into thinking that his impulsiveness and his flirting are okay and rarely sees the harmful effect it may have in others.

H I S T O R Y ;

Dohyun was born as an only child to a businessman and a seamstress. Most of the time his mother would work from home, so growing up he recieved a lot attention from her. But he was a bit of a wild child and it was hard for her to control him when her husband was away for work. His parents had looked into getting medication for him but ultimately decided that Dohyun should exert his energy rather than repress it. So they encourage him to take up a sport. Through elementary, he tried to play soccer and baseball but he ended up liking basketball the most. He played all the way into his middle school years. Because of his poor grades, he was forced to sit out for a year. With the need to keep himself busy, he was desperate for an activity. His parents found out about a dance class that was accepting students. Dohyun didn't like the idea of dance at first but took it up as a challenge. It only took a couple of classes for him to be hooked. He had always liked music, listening a lot to it while he was practicing basketball, but he had never felt such a connection to it like he did when he was dancing. Even when the classes ended and he could return to basketball, he still continued his dancing at home, learning from videos that he would see on the internet.

It was during this time that his parents were starting to drift apart. He didn't notice it until they announced that they were getting a divorce. They had explained it was simply because they had just fallen out of love with each other but they wanted to stay on good terms so Dohyun wouldn't feel neglected or unloved by either of them. Dohyun didn't take the news very well and ran away to his old dance class. He had snuck in and danced out his frustration all night long before his parents found him. When the divorce was finalized, his father decided to move to America to take a job opportunity there. He was left with the choice to stay with his mother or move to a new country with his father. Dohyun elected to stay in Korea but would go to America during his summer holiday to visit.

During this transitional period, dancing had become thereputic for him, allowing him to let go of any stress and focus on positive thinking instead of acting out and getting into trouble. He got some attention for it at school, which caused him to show off and attempt to catch the eye of pretty girls and boys alike. He simply wanted to enjoy life and not worry about his home life. Soon he looked into different types of dances to expand his repertoire and was getting quite good. He decided to pursue this in a more serious manner, which is what prompted him to ask to attend Serendipity.

Since going to Serendipity, both of his parents decided to remarry. By this time, Dohyun was more positive about the idea of his parents moving on and supported both of them. He just wanted to see them be happy.
