Description
This is a commission for my Uncle...When I was 10, I drew this: [link] and I gave it to him.
Recently he wanted me to do a "remake", in a way, of this picture... though let me paint it how I pleased.
and being commissioned to do this made me happy, because I was already planning to do an American Goldfinch painting anyways.... because the first animal I have hit with my car was a goldfinch... well, two of them....
So this is also in memory of those birds as well. :c
I'm sorry...
anyways... when I first got the sky and wheat/grass finished, I was VERY happy how it came out.... but after painting the finch and red-tailed hawk (in the background)... I don't like it as much anymore. I can't figure out why.... doesn't seem so appealing anymore... ahh...

beautiful! the colors are perfect and it makes me feel a little worried for the bird that will be heading into the Field of Gold and never come back if that red-tailed hawk snatched it from the sky.
I think the hawk fits nicely into the sky, it makes you look at the full drawing with it placed there ^^

I'm glad it makes you see it a different way like I do. at times I get those feelings like my work is missing something or I added too much, until another artist says otherwise.
