Yay! It's finished! 8D <3 Just in time for me to turn it in tomorrow! XDZomg, I love painting so much. D| I wish I could do more, yet my hands wont let me.
anyways, I darkend areas because the camera made it lighter than it was... I also wanted it to focus more on the owl, so I made a dark ring around it.
also, in the painting, I did make the background darker so that the owl did stand out more... and now I sound repetitive... lol

very nice, especially love the detailing around the feathers and such. Such a grandeur appearance in a gloomy setting
I do say the lighting could have been a little more dramatic to emphasis the owl's presence even more, but it doesn't demean the purpose of it in the first place. Still looks great

I love it!! the darkness of the photo is so natural. If you take critique, I would critique ONE thing only. That is the light, where it should be lighter, and where it should be darker(shading).. I wish you focused on the branches more, and made them really stand out by deciding where the light source was coming from.. [link] .. if you have not seen his work yet, he is the master of wildlife and he writes a great piece on what he finds are the most important things in paintings!! great painting though!
