Description Some kind of "I-want-to-draw-instead-of-learning-for-Abitur-while-being-absent-from-dA"-Sketchdump from two months ago (and earlier)
I've been toooold you liiiike sketcheessss preciousss?
This time with a bonus - ridiculously old art I collected to show you - so we can laugh together!

it's pretty self-explanatory. xD so, enjoy, I guess?

Art, all the characters (c) by me, no refs used (except when I wrote it down - they were from books mainly, so I can't show them to you D: )

wie viele sketches machst du? und warum sind das nur sketches?
ich will, das meine zeichnungen so aussehen wie deine sketches, da wäre ich schon zufrieden xD

Such a beautiful compilation of sketches and artwork here I adore your little doodled landscapes so much (how do you even with trees? I envy that XD) and its lovely to see some of the WTS horses - especially Sasha and Windmill, there That one of Will on Windmill in the Dressage attire, with his hat in the air just made me smile so much; its beautifully drawn with the detail and expression, and there's a lot of emotion there, too. If you ever finish that into something more, I'd love to see it.

Summer and Blue with the sidesaddle was lovely, too - I definitely need to start up a bit of a side-saddle appreciation season in HARPG

But something I really love, and applaud you for is posting some of your earlier work.

I know a lot of artists who move accounts or purge outdated work, sometimes fairly frequently, because when they improve, they become ashamed of the art they did many years ago. That always upsets me just a bit (though people are, of course, free to make their own choices) because the way I see it, you wouldn't be where you are now without the years of progression that came before. There's a lot of work in my gallery now that makes me cringe, but I'd never try to hide it away. The point I'm trying to get to is that I think it takes a lot to post artwork that is fairly old and share that with friends or watchers, but I'm really glad you did it. Your first art pieces of Blue and Sky are really adorable (far better than some of the appalling anatomy disasters I've managed ) and thanks for sharing them! (from another standpoint, I think its encouraging for artists with less developed skills to see the early art of more advanced artists because its easier to appreciate that everyone has to learn and grow, and even some of the best artists had to work hard to gain their skillsets). This makes me want to get some of my stuff scanned from years ago

I definitely want to make something bigger out of the whole Will-and-Windmill-Dressage-thing, at least I have an idea for it I'm glad that you liked it!

Yeah, I agree! Personally, I'm somehow proud of my older work... okay, not really "proud", but I like looking back on the past, somehow D

It would be great to see more come of the dressage image - I'll keep an eye out for it, for sure ^^

As for side saddles...they can be tricky what with the legs and excessive skirts Its good to start with some diagrams and photos of riders, and then try drawing lots of it but with your characters in jeans or jods without the skirt. I found that helped a lot. I'm hoping to one day do a bit of a tutorial on side saddles but we'll see how that pans out

I get what you mean. I'm not proud of my old work, but I do have some form of pride in it for where it got me today.

No worries - its just stuff that's helped me before. But you did really well with Blueberry's side saddle in all the OT pics anyway ^^

Sometime this year I hope to do something on sidesaddles. I definitely have too much right now, though

Love all these sketches, I really need to sketch more, I think it would help my art a lot if I wasn't trying to do a finished piece every time I sit down to draw. I used to doodle so much too. also on a side note I have that pencil sharpener

Jaaaa, ich liiieeeebeeee deine Sketchies! Und noch mehr! Da kann man so schön langsam durchscrollen und sich bei jedem Bild denken "Wow", weil der Wortschatz ja eh schon längst auf den Grund des Meeres gesunken ist. Höhö^-^
Ich könnt jetzt anfangen, jedes Bild zu kommentieren, aber das würde wohl zu weit führen, deshalb sage ich einfach nur, was du ja eh schon weißt: Dass ich dich unheimlich bewundere! Oh, und um etwa meinen Stand der Dinge einzuschätzen...ich bin wohl irgendwo da unten im Bonusteil xD Wird also wohl noch ein paar Jährchen dauern. Vor allem mit der Perspektive ._. Male ich eben weiterhin schön brav meine Bilder von der Seite, die aufgeklebt wirken. Aber übe dann heimlich und zeige es niemandem x3 <-- fieser Welteroberungsplan

Ah, ja, noch was...machts dir was aus, wenn ich dein Geschenk erst am...womöglich 28.4. hochladen kann? :/ Bin momentan nicht oft daheim und Zeit ist knapp derzeit. Und dann schreiben wir in den nächsten 8 Wochen 11 Schulaufgaben *seufz* Wird wohl generell eine Flaute bei mir sein auf dA. Aber vielleicht bring ich dann auch mal einen Sketchdump zusammen Okay, ich schweife vom Thema ab und labere zu viel. Das sieht mir ähnlich Bin schon still xD

ach waaas sag sowas nicht du bist so weit gekommen in der letzten Zeit, ich bewundere deinen Mut mit den Farben und Stimmungen, und mit der Anatomie machst du doch genau den richtigen Weg - ich find das viel schlimmer, wenn jemand mit Ref (oder schlimmer noch, getraced!) absolut perfekte Bilder zeichnet, aber ohne Vorlage einfach NICHTS auf die Reihe kriegt! Das wird!

asdfghk allein die Tatsache, dass du mir was schenken willst, lässt mich grad in einmütiger Dankbarkeit und Erfurcht erstarren °A° natürlich! Nimm dir alle Zeit der Welt!
