Description the girl running the front of house for my school's next play asked me to do the poster.
I haven't read this play, but I've been told the summary. Sounds interesting--I think I should like to read it in the near future!

nothin exciting, but it's a post to pass time

Hey! I totally directed this play a couple years back, incredibly hectic production but well worth it.

Anyways, great poster art, Shakespeare would be proud.

woah, really? that souns awesome--okay, minus the hectic, but what production isn't, I'm sure?

maxbyer In reply to ShotzgoBoom [2010-06-02 01:54:47 +0000 UTC]

Very true, they're all pretty hectic really, I'm just used to being the actor, not on the other end

Then again it was also producing, costuming, and hunting down actors who didn't show up to rehearsals so hectic is kind of a given.

Was it your first play that you've directed? What shows have you acted in?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

maxbyer In reply to ShotzgoBoom [2010-06-02 19:19:06 +0000 UTC]

That's the only one I've directed, but I've been in West Side Story, Nun of Your Business, Fools, Way Out West in a Dress, Our Town, and a few other things that slip my mind right now. Haven't acted in a while now though.

You ever act?

Wow! that's a lot of shows!

I used to when I was younger, but haven't for a long time. Too shy nowdays, I think. I did Rizzo from Grease way back in the day, and some minor characters in the Wizard of Oz, but that's about it.

maxbyer In reply to ShotzgoBoom [2010-06-03 05:38:02 +0000 UTC]

Haha well it's still something, Rizzo has to be a fun part to fill. Then again, I'm a big musical guy, so most parts seem pretty fun!

Anyways, I feel like I'm flooding you with replies o_o So uh we can just keep it to that other post from here on

oh ditto! What's your favorite show?

oh dang. I already sent the other note, so it's too late. The next one, though, we can combine!

Wow thank you..
I really appreciate it - specially taking the effort to listen to it, since it's in a foreign language. I forgot that not all of it is in english. You must smile hearing our weird language..

It was really nice working on those commercials. I have 1 more that i hope we can shoot soon. I love doing commercials, i love working with film.

how was the production?

and thanks!

Tywoo In reply to ShotzgoBoom [2009-10-13 04:43:25 +0000 UTC]

Well our school is supposed to be one of the best for putting on dramas and musicals so basically it was extremely well done. The second i walked in and saw the set and lighting/fog effects my jaw dropped. It was truly breath-taking and magical!

ShotzgoBoom In reply to Tywoo [2009-10-15 04:31:54 +0000 UTC]

ours, well....isn't. haha. Our school's productions aren't the highest of quality, but the acting is good for the most part, and that's what counts!

Yay, it turned out really lovely ^^
Its style reminds me of Alphonse Mucha's ilustrations.

You really have to read A Midsummer Night's Dream, or better, as lazy people like me do, see the film by Michael Hoffman.

Amazing work, as usual *___*

I was definately leaning towards Mucha here When people described the play to me, I could just really see it with his curly script and borders I'll probably see the play, and if I like it'll I'll be sure to check out the movie!

And thanks a bunch!
