Description
This is a loose reference for my character Trigger, because there's an OCT on Tumblr that I'm considering entering and he seems like the most fun to enter. I'm saying 'loose' because there's proportion mistakes in this reference, and the back view of him has shorter arms than the front view, and I'm really bad at staying on model so this is more to remember his details.

Brief character summary: Trigger is kind of a bully; he's not the particularly malicious but he does like to take out his frustrations on others. He is unaware of how stupid his outfit looks and mostly focuses his mind on laser tag and skee-ball and harrassing the only people who can stand to be around him. He likes to stay focused on these things because I'm thinking he was probably human at one point, and has basically become an exaggerated caricature of his former self, which is something he is aware of and finds deeply unsettling, which is why he avoids thinking about it as much as possible. He also likes listening to ska music, but only likes 3rd wave and considers his music taste to be better than everyone else's (he also occasionally enjoys some electronic and techno music, but he's very picky about which songs he likes, and songs he doesn't like are deemed poorly written and inferior)

Oh, and he lives in a run down abandoned arcade that he sort of keeps up; there are a few people who hang out there also for their own reasons, which must be pretty good reasons if they're willing to endure Trigger's company.

Fighting style: He's not really that durable (especially his legs, the holes in them are not very good for stability or his overall sturdiness), but he's somewhat agile and his strategy consists mostly of trying to hide in dark places and psyche out his opponent. The success rate of this approach depends on how much white light he has managed to successfully avoid, since if he is exposed to it his skin glows in the dark and gives him away rather easily. Even if he does manage to prevent this, which is not very often, his laser tag costume is also kind of a giveaway. So he'd probably end up trying to dodge out of his opponent's way most of the time.

Attack methods/weapons: His laser tag gun is only good for laser tag, but dumber opponents might be decieved into thinking it's a real gun. Trigger just hits enemies over the head with the gun itself, usually after taking a few shots at them with it impulsively first. He also has a set of eight skee-balls that he can throw at people, and one of those wiffle ball scoop things to pick them up and fling them with (it's probably not very helpful, but he thinks the scoop is cool and uses it regardless of how useful it is in a fight)

Design notes: For stylistic reasons, the holes in his legs are always visible. If they have to be set in one direction for whatever reason, then the holes are visible from the side view rather than from the front. His ears are translucent orange plastic with a circle of opaque white plastic at the base. The markings on the ears can be drawn on only one side for simplicities sake (they are painted on with black paint, and the paint is scratched off in places). His kneepad things and his tailtip can have the black and white stripes in whatever order looks good.

so yeah, TL,DR: Trigger is kind of a stubborn jerk and is pretty lame at fighting, and also is pretty narrow-minded. Hopefully some day he'll grow up a bit.
