Hi everyone!
How are you? Have you been on holidays, or you still are?Here you are a photo of my latest cosplay (July 2011, Festa dell'Unicorno at Vinci), the personification of Death from the gorgeous Sandman by Neil Gaiman. I hope you’ve read the series, and if you did, I really hope you’ll like my rendition of the character. Granted, you can’t see the most of my outfit there, neither Death’s trademark Egyptian eye makeup ^^’ but this was too much of a lovely photo not to post. Meravigliosa, semplicemente... solo con quello sguardo e quel sorriso hai restituito tutta l'essenza del personaggio di Death, il suo essere splendida e terribile, emblema della fragilità umana senza però esservi ostile... l'accuratezza del trucco e la sua profondità dà al tuo sguardo una nota aggiuntiva di mistero, mi incanta a non finire e ti dona immensamente.

Death è un personaggio così... così... così unico che è difficile poter credere di poterlo rendere... mi ci vorrà ancora un po' d'esercizio, ma sono così contenta di esservi piaciuta! E della giornata in generale, che, anche se rovinata dalla pioggia e dal fare su e giù e dai malesseri ç___ç è stata comunque un'occasione per stare insieme.
Ci devi proprio pensare seriamente, a divenire la nostra Thessaly, prima o poi...

OMG, you look GORGEOUS! I love the cosplay, I love the pose, I love the make up, and I love YOU in that photo. I haven´t read the series, but I recognize the characters and I have a job colleague that owns the collection of comics and I´ll borrow them from him.
Congrats on the marvellous outfit and the photographer also! I love steampunk style, and it fits Death so well... ^_^

Thank you a lot, I'm really fond of this, too. It's a bit too "photoshopped" for my tastes, but that's the photographer's choice and I respect it. The outcome is pleasing, and who knows, maybe I looked terrible in the original... I know it's highly probable!
Thank you very much for everything!! Oh yes, this is her "formal" version [link] an obvious choice if I wanted something a bit more consistent than her tank top and trousers, but I have a thing for corsets and this types of skirts, too...

It´s that photoshopped? I hadn´t realized...
Hohoho... I would also love to go steampunk. In fact, that idea has been around my mind for a couple of years. And some of my ordinary clothes, if well combined (aside from certain good complements, like broochs, goggles and stuff) could pass as victorian. I own some vests and embroidered shirts that could serve. But, I´m afraid to say that the nearest I´ve been from cosplaying victorian style has been disguising as Mary Poppins in a costume party with friends ^_^U

Oooooh yeeeeeeeeeeeeah you totally should!! You did tell me about your Mary Poppins disguise (photos! photos!!), but I'm sure that good tastes can combine even some "could-pass-as" clothes in a very good outfit. And yes, then you just add some little ornament... again, I think that good tastes are what seal the deal. So go for it, unafraid! *another heroic face*
And... I hope you'll draw some steampunk clothes design someday... It's one of the things from you that I'd like to see the most.
