A fake social butterfly with a lot to say and a huge drive to collect as much information as he can so he can make money out of it. He'd probably sell himself for a decent amount- money stands above everything else, even himself.

+amiable: With his friendly way towards others he's hardly unlikable. He always finds a way to get you to like him- and if it doesn't work at first he'll just keep trying and accept the challenge!
+communicative: Devon hardly every runs out of topics to talk about..but he knows when to shut up too. He's not afraid to just walk up to others and get to know them.
+extroverted: Loves mingling with peeps. You could say his hobby are people.
+neat: Likes his things to be where he puts them, spends hours in front of the mirror and is a little clean freak. Everything has to be in order.

"Son. All you ever need in life is money and information. You don't need a woman. You don't need education. All you need is information about the highest and then you've already won."

These words accompanied Devon his whole life, from early age on. He learned early that all he needed to survive was to gather money and information- he learned it from the best: his father, a consigliere of a rather averagely sized mafia organization taught him how to act to get what he'd need to survive And how he could achieve everything he wanted. He taught him that it's not wrong to be a little fake at times, he told him that lies are your friends, he told him that friends are your source of money but that they can be enemies too if they get to know how you're handling them. Anyway, good ol' Dev grew up in Chicago. His mother, an American woman which got to know his father through his business gave birth to a healthy boy who was quite on the skinny side-their little family was perfect. The father brought some (illegally made) money home and the woman stayed there to nurture her son. He grew up fast as the time passed and soon another child was born: Devon's sister Penny. To ensure both children would not need anything the Gavivi family set up an ice cream store as an alibi to make sure the government wouldn't find out about their illegal businesses.

Devon's mother, like his father, then started to work in their little family business. She didn't have much time for her son anymore when he was at the age of 8 (his sister was 5 then) and so Devon usually stayed at home and played with his sister, kept her company. Unlike many other kids that suddenly had to share their parents attention Dev didn't mind and soon started to become obsessive over his sister. He refused to let others play with her alone- he always needed to be with her. He developed a huge sister complex that his parents found it scary and sent him to a doctor who managed to make sure Devon would restrain himself concerning the topic. It got better but Devon himself quickly became bored and bitter. Since he wasn't allowed to spend as much time with his sister than before he started roaming the streets and went out to watch people; he watched how they'd act in front of each other during various situations like arguments or partings. He was so amazed by the expressions others managed to displayed that he started to read into this more and more- he was a natural it it. He soon could tell when others would lie. He'd go and borrow books about the topic and read them in his free time (which usually resulted in him staying up all night during school days because he was so obsessed with them). It didn't take him long to start trying to manipulate other with his knowledge. At first only meaningless people like classmates but that wasn't enough. Teachers followed, vendors.. he soon noticed that with the right words chosen at the right time he could get anything. The only one this didn't work with was his sister and his father. When his father noticed he was trying his little tricks on him at the age of 15 he slapped him across the face- it made Devon wish to never have even tried it. His father seemed so angry...Devon was sure he messed up. Badly.

"Son. Remember what I told you?"
-"Yes..father."
"Repeat."
-"Money and information are the most powerful things and uh.. you don't need information and.. women."
"Wrong. Usually you don't but from what you displayed here you still need education."

There he settled that Devon would have to enroll in Kain Acadamy, far away from home. Far away from his family, especially his sister. Needless to say he wasn't pleased...but then again he was curious what would await him and how he could use the information about the school and his students to his liking.. to get money of course. They world revolved around money after all... didn't it?

| | Additional Information:

-Devon would do many things for money. He believes money rules the world and so he's kind of distressed when he doesn't have any money on him. This also makes him an easy target for thieves who know about this fact.
-To not always get robbed Devon was taught self defense lessons from an early age on.
-He's not good at self defense though. It works in a way that he finds an opening to slip right through someone's grasp...sometimes..well,more than often.
-Dev is, thanks to his built, light on his feet which helps him in running away if there's danger around the corner.
-Devon has a huge sister complex.
-He actually does not talk about his sister Penny at all unless you're close to him or ask him about his family. Even then he'll not talk about her openly.
-His favorite animals are birds. He wants to train one someday so it will run errands for him.
-Even though he's half Italian he doesn't sound the part....but he acts like it. Lots of movement with his hands, too many gestures, too social.
-He seems to be interested in the stock market, that's also his favorite part of the newspaper he reads every morning.
