Well, well, well. Where can I start? Hmm, first I shall start off with saying that when I was speeding through deleting all my messages I stopped immediately once I came across piece! What catches my attention most is your coloring! The colors just flow together perfectly and make the picture look absolutely love! I swear! Your shading is just so good I could cry tears of joy. Me oh my I just love you so much as an artist, there is just something about you! I really like the background to and to be honest I just can not stop staring at it! You have some great talent e.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/b… " width="15" height="15" alt="" title=" (Big Grin)"/>

Oh man, Gyrados is amazing and effectively terrifying! O.O

Please don't take this the wrong way, but the background kind of bothers me. I can tell you spent lots of time on it, but I feel like the stringy quality of the water doesn't quite mesh with the Gyrados's smoothness. It doesn't quite do him justice. I think the dripping water on Gyrados is a much more effective portrayal of water, maybe because it's much more exact and the lineart-style matches Gyrados. Your backgrounds usually work wonderfully as lineless because it lets them fade into the background, but here, Gyrados is literally immersed in the surroundings, so the foreground can't fade into the background without flattening the image. Don't forget about atmospheric perspective, where the things closest to the viewer are clear and detailed, while the detail, distinctiveness, and brightness fade the further back you go into the distance.

Sorry for the long critique. xD You know I love your art. ^^ Gyrados is awesome, especially if this is your first time drawing one!
