Description
The smallest human-friendly dragon breed in the world, of chinese origin, this bright little dragons are also rider-less! The challenge of drawing ther (relatively) immense wings was interesting.And I have just realised I missed the narrow bands of gold... I'm gonna go rushing to fix it.

An extremely fast breed of small dragon, smaller than a horse, with a broad curving forehead and a long arrow-shaped muzzle, and an enormously deep chest reminiscent of a greyhound. The wings are long and tapered, and longer than the body length. They are used as priority couriers within the Chinese empire, normally flying without a rider. They can fly as fast as 120 miles in two hours, faster than any domesticated European breed.

I love the Jade Dragons! They struck me as being very elegant in the books, particularly in the description of Lung Yu Ping.

I love them! All of the chinese dragons were pretty amazing imo. I liked the red ones (whose names escape me at the moment) that were generally the only "fighters". But the little Jade one was my fave, for all that it had like 1 page in the series.

The red ones were "Scarlet Flowers", and they had less importance in the series than even the Jade.
I should get around to doing one of those too, someday.

But I guess I couldn't make the guy look bigger without it being utterly riddiculous.
I should make the dragon smaller... but the long neck is giving me lots of trouble while comparing it to a horse.
I'll go mess with this some more.
