It's a piece of Fanart. From Naomi Novik's Temeraira Series. Suck because all you can buy here in spain are the first two books. Most information I read at the wikipedia. Pretty deatiled stuff.Hope you like it.

This is awesome! I can't tell you how many times, as I read those books, I think to myself, "this is so amazing, but I can't keep some of the breeds straight. I wish there was some kind of chart."

Oh, and yeah, I believe Anne McCaffrey's Dragonriders of Pern books were the first to introduce the idea of people riding on dragon-back. I would suggest tracking down and reading at least the first book, Dragonflight. After that... *shrug* you may or may not want to read more. I did find some of them a bit tedious. But the first one really is very good, imho.
ANYWAY enough about that. These drawings are beautiful, and the colors are just gorgeous. Awesome job, and thank you so much for making such a beautiful reference!

Still, I must confess my utter and most shameful ingnorance in THIS matter: never heard of it, never saw the book, and I'm most likely never going to find it in the library I usually look 'cause otherwise I would have already. Pity... I like dragon stuff.

yeah i am a sucker for everything dragons, even if it may portray them as villains, well the Pern franchise it being one of the oldest dragonriding series isnt all that great, its more sci-fi then fantasy for my taste
