This happends when Nala already was banished by Scar (for not accept being his mate). One day, Hami (the rogue wounded lion) founds Kula while they hunt. Suddenly they fell in love.
Hami is a good lion and promised to help the youngers run away, because he knows a nice group that want start a pride. The group is Tojo, Malka and Chumvi, in this day the other lions are waiting for Kula, Kito (Kovu's birth name), Mheetu and Tama, near from the Pridelands borders. They wanted come with Hami to meet Kula, but this would alarm the hyenas, even more.
The plan was doing well Hami and Kula they were almost meeting Tama and Mheetu when suddenly Shenzi saw them. Shenzi ordered the hyenas to attack Hami and leads Kula and Kito to the Priderock. In the halfway Sarabi meet they and go with them to the Priderock. Hami almost died by the hyenas, but Sarabi ordered the lionesses to the border to help him.
Poor Sarabi, the Kula's lost sounded too familiar to her... Sarafina, noticed that.
