its the ""old"" lady :>instead of dying to hawkfrost, she is instead maimed by him and left for dead. luckily mothwing stabilized her before she died herself. currently thinking of a reason dapple would have retired early, maybe cerebellar hypoplasia? maybe autism and she has a fuckload of sensory issues?? idk, she just did Not get old when she was a year old (she's about 2 1/2 when the battle happened
