Description Featured here are [my custom] mage Hawke and Fenris from Dragon Age 2. After all my excitement about him pre-release, I was pleasantly surprised when he actually did turn out to be one of the best characters in the game. (Which belongs to Bioware, by the way.) This ended up taking longer than expected after I decided to actually put a little elbow grease into the background for once, and go nuts trying some new effects. I used the Deep Roads concept art as as the reference and palette, and took a few liberties on Hawke's outfit, primarily the arm bits.

You are welcome. It is well deserved! I just... I can imagine Hawke suddenly getting scared for some intense reason (since Hawke is never scared!) and Fenris getting all protective and omgomgomomg I am fangirling now. AHHH, beautiful picture!

I'm actually the same way!! All my mages end up with him and my rogues and warriors found love elsewhere! Honestly, I just love the mage/Fenris dynamic... it's so ridiculously sexy.

This is lovely work. Very reminiscent of maybe a Disney or Dreamworks animation cel (and I mean that as a compliment). The colors are rich, and your background really makes a nice balance to Hawke's hair, and a good counterpoint to Fenris' blue lyrium glow.
