Well, this picture was a really unexpected one. As I said in my journal, I've been incredibly busy lately and this spring break has been hell. But yesterday I was kinda depressed and stuck in the house, so I grabbed my sketchbook and decided to draw this picture that's been in my mind for a bit now. Somehow, I managed to finish it in a day!

Some of you may remember my Human Jirachi picture and how I promised way back in like 2005 that I'd draw more human versions of the legendary Pokemon...and then I never did it. Well now I have!

Mew is kinda floating amongst some pink bubbles, staring curiously at the camera (or at you!). This isn't exactly how I originally imagined the picture but I think it came out good anyway.

What I really love about this picture is her nose and that facial expression. Faces (and noses) have been hard for me lately, but this just seems to work. Unfortunately, you may notice that one eye is slightly bigger than the other...grr...there's still some issues with it but over all I'm really proud of it.

My main goal here was to try to experiment with perspective and with making a simplistic but pleasing background. I used the information I've gained in my Visual Concepts art class unconsciously and I can definitely see that the class has made a difference! The perspective was really hard and I tried using myself as a model since I really couldn't find any reference pics of a person in this position...but I don't think I did the perspective too good. I feel like her shoulders look like she's an amputee, lmao (her arms are supposed to be behind her back). And I know that I kinda messed up the anatomy a bit, especially in the leg area...I think her legs are too short...

Anyway, that's my description. Now time to go back into the darkness and stick my nose in the books! I hope everyone enjoys and feel free to give constructive criticism!
