Tfw u realise about a quarter of the way through drawing this that u have a lot of details on a lot of separate layers that u gotta do and u regret ur life choices

Seriously, Luka? You just HAAAAAAAD to have a more disguised version? Ugh, fine. This is one of the most complex things I have ever drawn. Holy shit. The glowing. The shadows. The FACE PAINT. The paint around their eyes was heavily influenced by Medjai, if you've seen her (you probably have). Specifically this drawing of her by corona-cody . I think the easiest thing was the staff--because it's not supposed to be perfectly 'carved' (is it even made of real wood???), I didn't have to go to great care to make the shaft perfectly straight or the taper perfectly smooth.

On the left is the version they use in Indigoverse; the AU I have for them where they never became a Green Lantern, and Nikki got the Ring instead--the way it was 'supposed' to go. In addition to concealing their jewellery, glasses, mole, and eye and hair colour, they disguise their voice and accent by speaking in a quieter, lower voice and using the Universal Translator, and they disguise their gait and their height (somewhat) by levitating several inches off the ground. They also tend to turn their face away from people they know as Luka, to reduce the risk of being recognised by their nose.

On the right is the version they would wear if, say, they were to become an Indigo Tribesman in their main verse, or if in Indigoverse they no longer had a reason to conceal their secret identity so thoroughly. Also yes, Luka does indeed wear a lip ring sometimes instead of just a stud (once they have that piercing). Ring is on their non-dominant hand so that they can draw their Staff into their left hand. It's WEIRD seeing Luka with pupils??? Their eyes are straight up black normally, so I've never had to draw them before.... Lmao
