You called it generic crap, and while I might not agree that it's crap, It does remind me of the clip art I would see in the phone book. I was a bored kid, and it was a big phone book.

This is the most adorable and cliche puppy dog I have ever seen! I am generally fond of him!
I must say, he resembles a bit of nostalgia of the 80s-90s. You don't see that style well-represented by many artists these days like you do.
