Description Accepted today for testing at Daz!  This is ten different pools (three with fountain setups also) from popular sets sold at Daz3d.  All of them originally had only a flat plane as a water piece, so I've simmed actual 3d water volumes for them all in Blender (and redid the fountains with RealFlow after I caved and bought it).  Iray deals much better with 3d volumes than flat planes when it comes to anything refractive.

This is the well from Danaides by Jack Tomalin.  Postwork for brightness/contrast only in GIMP.  Fog is from Fast Fog Iray.

Dang. Tell the Daz folks that I'll throw a tantrum if they don't hurry it up.

You wait ages for realistic Iray fluid products for Daz Studio, then Sickleyield comes along and gives you a ton of them at once...

Any plans for tidal waves for characters to surf on?

LOL

I'm working on it.  I just bought Realflow, is what happened, and I'm still learning to use it.  "Great big wave prop" is a bit far out from where I am now.  I've basically achieved "fountain" and am working toward "waterfall" for my next thing.

Great! Can't wait for fountains. Fountain water is a pain to make in DAZ!

Those volume water objects work so very well. They even distort the submerged item in a way you expect.

Thanks!

Yes, Iray with a real 3d volume is excellent at refraction.  A flat surface really is not the same.

I just got and am really enjoying Rigged Water 2. I have to admit water has intimidated me in Daz Studio but your product is helping me get into it. (Pun away on that if you want.) It'll be interesting to see which products this one lines up with. The image makes it look great and promising.

Oh good, I'm glad you're having fun with it!   Iray really is amazing at handling refraction.
